This is a temporary contract opportunity with The Cigna Group through Magnit, an enterprise third-party vendor for contingent work.

Position Notes:

• REMOTE POSITION - Monday-Friday, 40 hours. On call rotation for weekends which will result in OT for those weeks. Core hours 8am-5pm EST.

Responsibilities:

SQL Database Administrator Job Description The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining the eviCore healthcare database environments, including providing high security of protected health information, monitoring and investigating issues with production applications, evaluating and identifying operational issues within the databases. The SQL DBA will be responsible for working on tickets and monitoring of the database environment and completing user requests for access, change requests, scripts and responding to performance issues. The SQL DBA will review database level code and ensure adherence to DBA standards and best practices. The SQL DBA will be responsible for participating in the 24x7shift schedule. Other duties will be determined as necessary.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - 2017
• Strong understanding of DBA concepts
• TSQL (scripting, stored procedures, triggers, query development)
• Clustering/Always On technology, Log Shipping, Replication, HA
• Database and SQL Performance Analysis (Index Management and Query Plan Assessment)
• SQL installation and configuration
• Troubleshooting and RCA experience, Incident Management
• Knowledge and Experience with Best Practices and Standards
• ITIL: Change Management Process and Procedures
• SQL monitoring tools (Idera, Spotlight, SCOM, Zabbix, SQL Sentry, Foglight)
• Experience with ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, OLAP, OLTP
• Security and User Management
• Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery Procedures
• Standardized Database Maintenance
• Requests including (Installs, Performance Analysis, Security Management, SQL Job Management, Index Maintenance, Troubleshooting) Non-Technical
• Documentation Development
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communications Skills
• 24x7 shift schedule for support of the operational database environment
• Multiple location support
• Capable of working independently and in a team
• Meet SLAs set forth by Customers/clients
• Project Management
• Inventory Management and Audit Additional Skills
• Microsoft Azure skills a plus
• Healthcare/Medical/insurance data experience a plus
• Oracle knowledge and skills a plus
• Must be US Citizen

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $48.00-$60.00/hr
