This posting is for all Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering student positions in both Lima, OH, and Toledo, OH. After submitting your application, if you are selected to move forward in the process, you will receive a screening questionnaire where you can indicate your preferences.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned, but they may include:

Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering

  • Work with Instrumentation & Electrical Engineers (I/E)
  • Create installation and/or troubleshooting work packages for small-scale electrical and instrumentation/controls projects. This would include, but not be limited to, equipment specification, design calculations, drawing updates, and scope of work development.
  • Assist the Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians in the field
  • Data collection, print creation, and review
  • Participate in Preventative Maintenance Program work such as IR scanning, transformer and motor testing, and protective relay testing
  • Assist with field support for large-scale instrumentation - PMCS network, Shut-Down Systems, Level Control Systems, and instrumentation and PLC system upgrades


Who You Are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon request (e.g. passport, Social Security, etc.)
  • Available to begin work on or around September 8th, 2025
  • As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is required
  • Previous experience is considered an asset
  • Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education

  • Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program studying Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related disciplines at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities


Working Conditions

  • May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc. 


Safety Sensitive

  • This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements
  • Safety sensitive positions may require the operation of a motor vehicle. Applicants may be asked to provide a valid U.S. driver’s license if offered the position


Relocation

  • Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses
