What You'll Be Doing:
As our Financial Analyst II, you'll be responsible for:
Premium Reconciliation: Monitoring and responding to inquiries related to premium invoicing.
Data Analysis: Analyzing over- or under-premium payments and providing recommendations.
Issue Resolution: Researching member premium issues and discrepancies and proposing solutions.
SQL Queries: Programming simple to moderate SQL queries to reconcile revenue streams.
Payment Processing: Resolving payment disputes and ensuring accurate application of funds.
Vendor Coordination: Working with print and BPO vendors for necessary updates and modifications.
Refund Processing: Performing detailed analysis of refund requests and processing member refunds.
Commission Verification: Verifying internal and external broker commission payments.
Financial Reporting: Preparing month-end reports and journal entries.
Regulatory Compliance: Interpreting and applying regulatory requirements related to premium billing and revenue reconciliation.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual who:
Has a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Has at least three (3) years of experience in premium billing, premium and membership reconciliation, and/or premium reporting.
Has experience working with large data sets and developing moderate SQL queries.
Has managed care experience related to commercial products.
Has strong knowledge of premium billing practices in the healthcare industry.
Has working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting theory.
Has strong SQL Server query development and writing skills.
Is proficient in Excel and Word.
Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Has strong critical thinking, analytical, and prioritizing skills.
Is highly detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
