Location: Water Treatment Plant Phoenix

Description: Pipefitters (Water, Sewer, Storm)

Looking for EXPERIENCED Underground Wet Utilities Pipefitters. You’ll work under our construction manager’s direction, alongside other skilled laborers and tradesmen. The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience, and have knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment. Must be able to work every day under various harsh conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Able to create a safe working environment, and understands OSHA regulations
• Ability to take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor
• Ability to set up and perform piping tests.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others
• Ability to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman
• Experienced with large sewer and water pipe installations.
• Layouts, set elevations and grading
• Install mechanical piping and supports
• Experience with a pipe laser.
• Proper assembly and joining of various pipe systems
• Setting grade lasers and understand profile drawing and 1-lines.
• Coordinate routing around existing buried utilities.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others
• Ideal candidate should be able to operate heavy equipment along with pipefitting responsibilities, including but not limited to digging trenches, setting trench boxes, backfilling and proper grading.

Qualifications:

• MUST pass City of Phoenix Background Check
• MUST have 3+ Years in wet utilities, sewage systems, storm water, water supply lines, gas pipelines, trenches, laser.
• Past construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are required
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions
• Pay rate is determined on current level of knowledge and experience

Pay Rate: Up to $34.00 per hour depending on experience (or higher depending on experience)

Schedule:

• Monday to Saturday 5:30am to 3:30pm
• 10- Hour shifts
