Job Description

Position Summary / Purpose: To manage a customer's property from initial loss back to pre-loss condition. Exceeding customer satisfaction, keeping the job on time and budget while fulfilling the company’s contractual obligations of our restoration and construction services.

Compensation: $70,000 - $120,000 based on experience, commission based salary with no cap

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initial response to homeowner to help with the loss
  • Site visits to access needs
  • Coordinate estimates from subcontractors, suppliers
  • Write job estimates
  • Maintain communication with customers, insurance adjusters and all involved parties.
  • Order materials required for project and delivery to site.
  • Schedule laborers and or subcontractors.
  • Inspect work done at property to ensure timely completion and on budget

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

● Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED) plus minimum three 3 years of experience managing construction or restoration projects and supervising crews. Advanced knowledge of building construction, remodeling, or restoration. Understands the relationship between direct labor and profitability.

● Negotiation Skills: Developing solid relationships with people to negotiate the best possible outcome without conflict or adversity.

● Computer Skills: Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of computers and computer software, especially Google Workspace. Experience with Xactimate software is a plus.

● Listening Skills: The ability to accurately receive and interpret messages in the communication process from customers and employees, probing for additional information or unstated issues, and providing timely response.

Valid Driver's License

Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able ascend and descend a ladder for inspection of property claims and work completed.

Working Conditions: The work of this position is predominantly carried out in a shop or job site environment. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is expected. Employees will encounter facilities where standing water and sewage are present, heat is unavailable due to lack of utilities, fire damage has occurred, and mold or other organic growth exists. Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
